V Air Cancels Flight To MNL
Taiwan’s low-cost carrier V Air announced the cancellation of its Philippine service, just less than 4 months from its first inaugural flight after booking poor sales. The TransAsia Airways subsidiary went to a bad start after Taiwan-based competitors China Airlines and Eva Air increased capacity to Manila while discounting prices. Manila-based carriers Philippine Airlines and low cost competitor Cebu Pacific also flies this sector.
The airline is scheduling last flight on 14 July 2016, currently served 4 times a week with Airbus A320 aircraft
Too bad. I just flew with this airline. Got a ticket to MNL at PhP1740. Although it has to open more check-in counters at TPE to avoid longer queues, the service was not bad at all.
